I bought my first franchise in 2008. Since then, I’ve worked across operations and development with brands gaining a deep understanding of franchising from the inside out. Looking back, I wish I’d had a guide and roadmap to help navigate the world of franchise terminology, choices, and strategy. The search for transparent, candid advice was not only elusive—it was incredibly time-consuming.

Here’s the kicker: I made the leap into franchise ownership while working full time, becoming the very first franchisee of a brand that would later expand globally. I definitately learned a few things along the way.
